HAZARD PERCEPTION TEST

Preparing for your driving test

The hazard perception test is designed to test your ability to identify potential dangers on the road as they arise. This section of the theory test includes videos of common driving situations that will challenge your ability to quickly identify and assess potentially hazardous scenarios.

The key to success in this test is to recognize hazards as soon as possible, situations that might require you to brake or take evasive action. These hazards can include other vehicles, roadwork, cyclists, pedestrians, animals, road conditions, weather, and much more.

Anticipating what lies ahead is crucial for all drivers to ensure everyone's safety, which is why passing the hazard perception test is a vital step towards becoming a roadworthy driver. Drivers need to be able to quickly recognize and respond to dangers to help prevent accidents or other hazardous situations.
